Frequently Asked Questions on TBE
This page provides answers to some of the most common questions about the TBE, including the eligibility criteria, exam format, and passing requirements. We have also addressed questions about the TBE syllabus, exam fees, and other important aspects of the exam. By reading through this FAQ section, you can gain a better understanding of the TBE and what you need to do to successfully prepare for and pass the exam.

- Phone calls should be avoided for the following reasons:
- The phone line may not be clear and require multiple repetitions especially when reading out NRIC numbers.
- There is a record of communication exchange if done via Whatapp or email.
- More candidates can be attended to via Whatapp or email as phone calls are time consuming.
- It is faster to reply via Whatapp or email as most of the queries are standard and there are standard replies prepared.
- Candidates can refer to the Whatapp or email if required, which saves them the trouble of making another phone call if forgot or don’t understand.
The operation hours are Monday – Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Lunch hour is 12.30 p.m. to 1.30 p.m..
- The fees will remain the same, which is :
- RM80 for Part A & B or Part A & C; and
- RM75 for Part B only or Part C only.
- Payment can be made using FPX, or debit/credit card via the takafuleexam.com after registration.
- Do NOT bank in money into MTA account via ATM.
- Do NOT do online transfer to MTA account.
There will no longer be anymore classroom TBE sessions. All examinations will be held remotely (online).
- The sessions are from Monday – Friday. There are 2 sessions a day which is at 10.30 a.m. and at 03.00 p.m.
- Each session can accommodate 200 pax of candidates.
- There are no sessions on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
- The examination link will be sent to the candidates via email 2 days before the examination date.
- On the morning of the examination, an SMS will also be sent to the candidate’s phone. The SMS will be from number 66300. The examination link is in the SMS.
Candidate need to log into takafuleexam.com and select “Change Profile”. The candidates can change these details there. Make sure to press the “SUBMIT” button for changes to be updated into the system.

- Log in using NRIC and choose “Forgot password”. A new password will be sent to the candidate’s email address used during registration.
The candidate is to ensure that they have their NRIC and examination slip ready and available to sit for the examination, even though it is conducted remotely/online.
Yes, the candidate can choose BM, English or Mandarin during the examination.

- The textbook is available for each part of the exam.
- The textbook is available in BM, English and Mandarin.
Certificates are not printed out, the candidate may self-print the examination results. Refer to Q10 above.
- 7 days (calendar days) before the examination date, the candidate can change the date to a later date via takafuleexam.com.
- If less than 7 calendar days before the examination date, the candidate must contact the TBE Admin to make the changes.
Important note:
Reschedule of examination less than 7 days before the examination date can be done for valid reasons and with proof only. Example,
- If cannot attend examination because not well, send in a pic of the doctor’s letter or time slip.
- If cannot attend examination due to urgent meeting in the office, send in the copy of the email stating this.
- If cannot attend due to death of a family member, send in pic of the death cert.
- The candidate is required to have a smart phone with a camera and a laptop / computer.
- Do ensure secure and stable internet connection.
- Also, enough credit if using pre-paid.
- Tablet (iPad, Surface, Galaxy Tab, etc.) cannot be used for the examination.
- Ensure sufficient battery on the smart phone and laptop for the 2 hour examination.
