- Malaysian Citizen;
- Aged 18 years old and above on the year of examination;
- Minimum Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/Malaysian Certificate of Education (MCE) (5 Subject passes including Bahasa Malaysia) or equivalent academic qualification.
- List of academic qualifications equivalent or higher than SPM/ MCE:
- General Certificate of Education (GCE) O-Level, with minimum 5 PASSES, as issued by Malaysian Ministry of Education or Singapore – University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate;
- Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia Vokasional/Vocational Malaysian Certificate of Examination (SPMV/VMCE), or Sijil Pelajaran Vokasional Malaysia (SPVM), with minimum 5 PASSES;
- Sijil Vokasional Malaysia (SVM) with minimum CGPA 2.00 for academic modules, AND minimum CGPA 2.67 for vocational modules;
- Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia Tahap 3/ Malaysian Skills Certification Level 3;
- Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia/ Malaysian Skills Diploma (DKM/MSD);Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia/ Malaysian Skills Advanced Diploma (DLKM/MSAD);
- Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), or Malaysian Higher School Certificate (HSC), or GCE A-Level;
- Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with minimum Maqbul grade;
- Unified Examination Certificate Senior Middle (UEC-SML) with minimum 5 PASSES, as issued by United Chinese School Committees Association of Malaysia (UCSCAM).
- List of Malaysian Public Institute of Higher Learning (IPTA) qualifications HIGHER than SPM:
- Certificates, Diploma, Advance Diploma, Bachelor Degree, Master Degree, Doctorate – issued by Malaysian Public Institute of Higher Learning registered/recognized by Malaysian Ministry of Education.
- List of Private Institute of Higher Learning (IPTS) qualifications HIGHER than SPM:
- Degrees from local or oversea Institutions of Private Higher Learning – University, College, Polytechnic, Institute, Academy;
- Diplomas or Certificates from local or oversea Institutions of Higher Learning – University, College, Polytechnic, Institute, Academy. Minimum duration of course is 1 YEAR with an examination as part of completion assessment.
- Any academic or professional certificate from oversea institution is required to be presented to MTA before examination date for verification.
Any copies of NRIC, certificates or any other documents to be presented to MTA for TBE purposes, may only be certified as true copy by the following person:
- Officer of MTA;
- Human Resource Unit of Institution;
- Branch Manager of Principal Takaful Company;
- Commissioner of Oath.
- All entry requirements and qualifications are as per regulated by Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA).
- Any application to sit for TBE which does not fall into any of the above categories shall be presented to MTA for review and approval.
- MTA reserves the right to make changes to TBE Entry Requirement as and when necessary.
