Kuala Lumpur, Tuesday, 17 January 2023 – Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Iranian Insurance Research Centre that recognize the importance of mutual collaboration and contribution to the takaful industry, both parties share a desire to develop mutually strengthening and enriching knowledge-based partnership in the landscape of takaful industry with the aim of promoting it globally. The MoA requires both organisations to develop knowledge cultivation, collaborates on training and education, exchanging data intelligence and provides consultation.
Chief Executive Officer of MTA, Encik Mohd Radzuan Mohamed stated that the MoA is continuation from visit by IRC on December last year which bring to the memorandum that will boost the idea to develop mutually strengthening and enriching knowledge-based partnership in the landscape of takaful industry with the aim of promoting it globally. By working on this collaboration, it plays an important role to develop and conduct studies in the areas of utmost priority concerning Islamic Finance and Takaful and to cooperate on the publication of relevant studies and developmental works.
Both parties agree to cooperate based on their best endeavour and good will to promote and undertake the following activities in the fields of Islamic Finance and Takaful and to collaborate in contributing towards the establishment of a stream of well-trained highly skilled and ethical corporate Islamic Finance and Takaful professionals who will strive to benchmark themselves against the best in the world.
Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Asgari, Chief Executive Officer of IRC said that this would benefit both Malaysia and Iran in terms of the knowledge sharing on Takaful internationally and how it can help to enhance the potential of Takaful and helps to discover more opportunities ahead between both parties. This will contribute towards the establishment of a stream of well-trained highly skilled and ethical corporate Islamic Finance and Takaful professionals who will strive to benchmark themselves against the best in the world.
